Wall Drug, Wall, South Dakota

We all have these places that our parents took us to during our family travels.  This is a place that sticks out in my memories.  A fantastically large (to a kid anyways!) block wide or more building full of fascinating (touristy!) items.  Great western theme.  Lots of bad guys and such.  Gotta go back there!

Starting at an early memory!

This is out front of the Far West Motel along Evergreen Highway in Everett, WA.  Taken about 1964-65.  My grandparents owned this small motel.  I stayed with my grandparents for short time when my parents split.
